Realty Footprint has been trading successfully in real estate in Bedfordview, Modderfontein and Edenvale for 15 years, and has been involved in developments in Midrand, Kempton Park and Vaal Marina.

Bedfordview and Edenvale are lucrative and mature areas with good volume sales and are positioned well in Gauteng; they will be strong performers in the years to come. Modderfontein consists of mostly new, maturing developments but will rapidly roll out over the next ten years. It is perfectly positioned within Johannesburg including extensive commercial, industrial and retail interests and is probably our most exciting area. Demand should easily exceed supply for the foreseeable future.

The SA property market is undergoing a consolidation period after strong growth in the last couple of years. I feel that we can expect further robust growth post 2010 with interest rates being the major concern factor. However from a global perspective we enjoy some of the most reasonable real estate value in the world. The areas we have chosen to operate in are firmly in the heart of the economic landscape in South Africa and if South Africa grows we will grow strongly with it.

The biggest stumbling block facing real estate today is a crisis in confidence brought about by a stalled banking system and a lack of lending appetite by all major banking role players.

The livelihood of the average South African family is rather uncertain. The only real positive is the exceptional value for money that can be found by an expert eye in this market.
